Thank Goodness for Gramsie

I love the blog format and I want to say thank you Mom for starting one of your own. I love your pictures and the music.

I'm working hard to put together my second baby shower. Both of my 2 friends who threw baby showers for me when I had Kaley are pregnant. It is a lot of fun, though, to work together with others and plan the decorations, food and games. It is giving me a creative outlet, a non-parental role, and I am really enjoying it.

Autumn is so wonderful!! Everyday I sit in the sunshine pouring through my kitchen windows and soak up the precious time with my baby and toddler. Connor is a cuddly 14 pounder who loves to smile and coo but does not like lots of noise and excitement. Kaley is into everything, trying to help, trying to build, trying to get attention and through it all absorbing so much. It scares me the stuff that she remembers.

Next weekend we are making a trip to see Monica and Victor. I am so excited to see them and their little ones. We are hoping to have a bonfire if weather permits. That's about as close to camping as we will get this autumn. I can't wait. There's nothing in the world like a cool autumn night, sparks flying upward, the smell of wood smoke and time with people you love.

I wish love and joy to all who read this and I thank our Lord, Jesus Christ, for the mother He gave me 29 years ago and the Gramsie who now loves my own little ones.
